About
Dr Valerie Brown

Valerie is a fully-registered Clinical Psychologist with over twelve years’ clinical experience across the lifespan, ranging from children, adolescents, adults and the elderly. Valerie was born in France and has been living in Australia for nearly 40 years. She has travelled extensively overseas and in Australia, and has settled in Gippsland 30 years ago. Her current personal interests spread across gardening, rediscovering the waterways of the Gippsland lakes and rivers, handy work and renovating, jewellery making, reading and international politics.
Valerie has a warm, genuine, and non-judgemental style and strongly believes that therapeutic intervention can bring about change and contribute to a more fulfilling, connected and meaningful life. In therapy, she often explores underlying patterns that can create emotional and relationship problems, thus helping her clients gain a more in depth understanding of their issues. She has a very practical approach and understands the importance of providing useful and hands-on strategies that can help her clients move forward.
